About Us

Jutland Valley is a small farm in the eastern Adelaide Hills. We have a dry Mediterranean climate, annual rainfall around 430mms. We started experimenting with sheep breeds around 10 years ago, and run around 100 cleanskin composite sheep.

Jutland Valley has:

  • An OJD rating of 6 (approved vaccinates born into a fully vaccinated flock, property rating 4).

  • Ovine Brucellosis accreditation.

  • Pedigree records to guarantee non-inbreeding and identifiable bloodlines.

  •  Good quality stock which we treat well.

Tony McKenzie is an engineer with extensive experience in the private and public sectors experience, and in related tertiary education. Tony comes from a farming background, and is using his scientific skills to improve the farming enterprise and to improve our sheep.

Margaret McKenzie qualified as a solicitor and accountant, before many years in consultancy and tertiary education for not-for-profit organisations and their funding.  Margaret's research skills have helped us with the genetics and industry information needed for breeding cleanskin composite sheep.

We have used our professional experience and commonsense approach to breed easy care sheep that shed their wool, using good genetics. We’ll provide friendly advice for small farmers. We can drench and vaccinate stock before sale, and can deliver by arrangement.
